Ferrari Showroom Gets the Crestron Treatment
In need of an audiovisual makeover, Brisbane-based Ferrari dealer Euromarque contracted Crestron dealer Electronic Living to update the boardroom and enhance the ambience of the showroom.
“Simplicity and practical functionality were key requirements during the initial client brief and the design team addressed these needs with the introduction of a Crestron control system” says Electronic Living director, Damian Cavanagh. “Incorporating a 5.7” touch screen (Crestron TPSI6X) for both the boardroom and showroom enables both areas to be controlled independently at the same time either as a shared entity or independent zones. One of the standout features of this system is the customised Crestron touchpanels which incorporate carbon fibre backgrounds, the unmistakeable Ferrari black stallion logo and the roar of a Ferrari engine when various functions are selected from the touch panel displays”.
A Crestron Adagio AMS provides surround sound for the boardroom and distributed audio for the showroom, with the integrated control processor automating all of the equipment. The showroom features a 150” anamorphic projection screen to create maximum impact when displaying demonstration footage of the vehicles in action, as well as VIP nights and viewing of Formula 1 Grand Prix events; the Crestron audio system creates a truly emotive experience for the prospective Ferrari purchaser. From the wireless Crestron touchpanels staff can browse music content from the Crestron CENI-iSERVER audio server and CEN-iDOCV iPod dock, while Apple TV, Blu-ray player and TiVo serve up video.
Being a retrofit installation with an 8-day time-frame (yes 8 days!) to complete the work, without interruption to regular trade, the project was completed on time and budget and the client is delighted with the project.
