Cresnet Control Cable - Cresnet-NP & Cresnet-P
11 Mar 2011
Cresnet control cable has a 300V-rated outer sheath. The Cresnet bus is the communications backbone for many Crestron touchpanels, keypads, expansion modules, tuners, and more. Cresnet is a simple, 4-wire network that provides bidirectional communication and 24V power for Cresnet devices.
Both Cresnet variants NP (non-plenum) and P (plenum), with the NP type generally used in Australia, have 300V-rated (NEC article 800) outer sheaths and are available in four colours: black, orange, teal (green) and yellow.
As is the case with all other bus cables (including C-Bus™), the control cable must be segregated from the mains cable (ref. AS3000).
Why is it so good?
Available in four colours, to easily distinguish between different Cresnet networks (for example, AV and lighting)
