We are pleased to announce that Prodigy is receiving it’s most significant product and feature updates since release, making it the most powerful and flexible platform at this end of the market. The biggest news of all is that Prodigy now offers direct compatibility with the entire Crestron product catalogue!
Originally intended for use in residential installations, our dealers have told us otherwise and Prodigy has found acceptance in commercial, government and education markets as well.
Below are the highlights of the new Prodigy product releases and new features-
PMC3 Processor
Effectively replacing the PMC2, the new PMC3 control system utilises Crestron’s new Core 3 OS to deliver new features and capabilities. The PMC3 is available separately or kitted with remote control.
More memory and greater processing speeds. This means increased system device maximums per processor over the previous generation PMC2. The new maximums are:
- 18 total user interfaces (6 remote controls, 6 touchpanels, 6 mobile devices)
- 4 x P-IDOC-V iPod docks
- 4 x PTAMFMXM radio tuners
- 3 x PAMP-4X100 (12 audio zones total)
- 12 x P-TSTARF thermostats
- 100 infiNET-EX devicesin total
“Multicast” processor-to-processor communication – available now
Multicast is automatic ethernet communication between any combination of Prodigy processors on the same network (PMC2, PMC3, PMC3XP). Configurable in Composer and SystemBuilder.
Automatically connects a range of system-wide global macros such as:
- All Rooms On
- All Rooms Off
- All lights to Scene #
- And more…
- SystemBuilder allows 10 custom system-wide macros
- Multicast supports up to 6 Prodigy processors
- 6 Remote Systems are also supported in SystemBuilder including Virtual Touchpanel Exports and 12 Virtual Keypad Exports
- Details on True Blue
Weather Service – available now
- Supported on all Prodigy processors including PMC2
- Free full screen current weather + five day forecast on all Prodigy interfaces including mobile devices
- Uses data from international Accuweather service
- Enabled in Prodigy Composer, SystemBuilder and SIML Windows
MyCrestron.com – available now
- Free Dynamic DNS Service for Crestron systems
- Maintains simple URL for remote mobility control (iPhone/iPad, Xpanel) regardless of home IP address. ie smithhome@mycrestron.com
- Built into PMC3 and PMX3XP
- Enabled in SystemBuilder or SIMPL Windows
Built-in Setup mode
- Enables basic system setup and testing and MyCrestron configuration
2 x USB host ports – available now
- Basic WAV/media file playback, more features coming…
OSD (On Screen Display) – available Q3
- Flash-driven GUI (component video output)
- Automatically built in Prodigy Composer and SystemBuilder
- Built into PMC3 & PMC3XP
PMC3-XP Processor
Offers the same connectivity and features as the PMC3 but adds direct connectivity to any device from the Crestron catalogue. Procise, DigitalMedia, Sonnex, V-Panel…anything!
Now you can mix and match Prodigy and Crestron devices to suit your application and meet a budget.
